This wire flower piece is based on a set of drawings that I was inspired to draw having seen some fabulous 1970's greetings cards. The shape of the petals was quite different, so I made a continual line study of the card with both hands to come up with a really distinct drawing.
I then turned this to wire and added a machine embroidered background to it, focusing on fabric scraps in pinks, blues and a cheeky metallic green bit!
The frame is ready-made and perfect for this piece and can be wall hung or placed on your favourite sideboard.
The image measures approximately 10 x 10 cm, with the frame outer edge being approximately 16 x 16 cm.
